Nokia's thirst of making niche mobile handsets seems to have never diminished. This wireless giant from the land of the thousand lakes, Finland, has created several records in the world of mobile telephony, on many an occasions, bettering its own records. After so much success with the E-Series and N-Series handsets, Nokia now brings the Nokia Prism. The Nokia Prism is consisted of two models – the Nokia 7500 Prism and the Nokia 7900 Prism.

Lookwise both the handsets are almost similar. Both come with a stylish casing with diamond cut buttons. While the Nokia 7500 Prism measures 109 x 43.9 x 14.4 mm and weighs 83 grams, the Nokia 7900 Prism has got a dimension and weight of 112 x 45 x 11 mm and 101 grams respectively. Another prime difference between the two handsets is that of 3G connectivity. While the Nokia 7900 Prism is a 3G enabled Quad Band phone, the Nokia 7500 Prism is a Tri Band phone.

Both the handsets come with a 2 inch 16.7 million colour OLED screen supporting a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels. Mobile photography has got a new name with the two Prism mobile phones – both carry a 2 megapixel camera with flash and 8 x digital zoom. With additional imaging features like photo colour mode Black and White, Sepia and Solarise, horizontal mode, viewfinder and camera key and video recording, the Prism turns into a complete imaging tool.

The two Prism handsets pull several other features under their bellies. These features include Bluetooth, USB, EDGE, music player, FM radio, Nokia Xpress Audio Messaging, embedded Java games, downloadable games etc. While the web access to the Nokia 7500 Prism is provided by OMA Digital DRM 2.0, the Nokia 7900 Prism fulfils it through WAP 2.0 and XHTML/HTML Multi Browser. The Nokia 7500 Prism comes with 30MB internal memory and supports MicroSD memory card and the Nokia 7900 Prism boasts of 1GB phone memory.
